The House of Hoops release of the Jordan VIII “Sugar Ray” (Ray Allen, Boston Celtics) and “Q-Rich” (Quentin Richardson, New York Knicks) marked the first time average Joe’s could purchase Jordan Player Exclusive sneakers anywhere in the world. The release was somewhat secretive as it wasn’t broadcasted via the blog sites, while some on Niketalk claim to have known about the release before it went down, most of us were clueless. Jordan Nu Retro 1 : Navy Blue Suede

Here’s a look at yet another Jordan Nu Retro 1 which features a Navy Blue Suede upper with White Leather. The Jordan Nu Retro 1 line has been kept rather simple and yesterday a preview of a Black, White, Red color-way model was posted. The Jordan Nu Retro 1 falls under one of the Jordan subdivisions apart from their Air Jordan models, that is one key reason the sales and attention toward the shoe are low. Releasing in its original color-way this Nu Retro 1 features Black, White, and Red with a combination of leather and suede. Expect these to be in stores by February 11th. Via Hangtime.

First Lady of Jordan Brand

What do you call a woman who owns the world records (women’s T44 classification) in the 100m, 200m and 400m dashes and runs her own non-profit organization for people with physical disabilities? U.S. Paralympian April Holmes. Since her career in Paralympic track & field began in 2002, Holmes has continued to succeed, improving each and every step of the way. Her latest feats include breaking her own world records in the 100m and 200m dashes at the 2006 U.S. Paralympics Track & Field National Championships in Atlanta, GA. She then led a strong US delegation to the IPC World Championships in Assen, Netherlands where she excited the crowd with commanding gold winning performances in the 100 and 200 meter races. It wasn’t until 2001 when Holmes was involved in a train accident that resulted in the loss her left leg below the knee. While she lay in her hospital bed, a doctor told her about the Paralympic Games and a new goal was firmly implanted in her mind. Off the track, Holmes runs the April Holmes Foundation, a non-profit organization tasked with assisting people with physical and developmental disabilities in every day life. Having recently completed her MBA in Marketing, Holmes plans to use her education to improve the awareness of persons with disabilities while eventually testing her entrepreneurial skills in event planning. Air Jordan 12.5 Low Black/Metallic Silver

The Air Jordan 12.5 is a combination of the Air Jordan 12 and 13 and takes a little bit from both. Seen above is the newest color-way which features Black and Metallic Silver. With all the attention directed toward the major Air Jordan models, hybrid-like ones like the 12.5 often go unnoticed, but this 12.5 is definitely a great addition and would be a great shoe to do what Air Jordans were made to do, play basketball in. Air Jordan XX3 – White-Red-Black – All Star – Now Available

For most of you who couldn’t get the very limited Air Jordan XX3 in White, Titanium and University Blue, the second colorway is finally dropping. Scheduled to drop All Star Game weekend, February 16th 2008, this colorway should be a little easier to get. For those who don’t want to wait a week, you can get them on ebay now.

Air Jordan Classic 87 – Black Patent Leather

A new colorway or the Jordan Classic 87 just dropped, featuring an upper of all black patent leather. This simiple colorway comes after two other fairly nice colorways. Fans of the the Air Jordan 2 and patent leather should appreciate these as patent leather will probably never make it on the the AJ 2 and should never either. Look for these in stores soon, for now, cop them on ebay.

Air Jordan 12.5 Team Low – Black – Lt Graphite

For anyone who plays basketball and is under 5′7″, high top sneakers just aren’t practical, brand Jordan has a solution.
